Data collection in the App
Locally stored data
The following data are crucial for the use of the app.
- Configuration (e.g., connection parameters, users, passwords)
- Homematic data (e.g., devices, rooms, functions, favorites, messages)
Depending on your Homematic configuration, this data may contain personal data. The data are only stored on your iOS device. The data will not be passed to the developers nor to third parties.
CCU Push Notifications
When using the feature „CCU Push Notifications“ the app transfers data to the developer’s so-called push server. The server is responsible for sending push notifications. The transmitted data may contain personal data.
Whenever the „CCU Push Notifications“ function is activated, the following data are stored on the push server. They will be deleted as soon as the feature is disabled in the app. The data will not be shared with third parties.
- The date and time of activation
- ID of the @Home app on your iOS device
- ID of your CCU
To send a CCU push notification, the following data are first transferred to the push server and from there to the so-called Push Notification Service of Apple Inc. Immediately after data transfer, the data are deleted from the push server.
- ID of the @Home app on your iOS device
- Text of the push notification
The data are not assignable to a specific person.
The data are transmitted in encrypted form. An exception is the unencrypted transmission of CCU push messages by the 1st generation CCU.
The push server is located in a French computer center of OVH GmbH. Technical and operational security precautions have been taken to protect the server from unauthorized access and misuse.
You can quit the „CCU push notification“ feature and the associated processing of your data via the app by deactivating notifications and deleting the message logic from the CCU.
Access to the camera
If mode „smart“ is selected in „Interface Settings“, the app requires access to the camera of the iOS device. This access is used only for measuring the ambient brightness. Recordings are not stored and not shared with the developer or third parties.
Access to the camera is also required to capture QR Codes to setup CCU access via a WireGuard VPN.
You can prevent access to the camera by deselecting the „smart“ mode in the app and/or denying access to the camera in the iOS settings.
Access to location data
If the feature „Geofencing“ is activated in the settings, the app requires access to the iOS location service. Geofencing requires this access to control your CCU depending on your location. @Home does not store this data and does not pass location data on to the developer or third parties.
You can prevent access to the camera by deselecting the „smart“ mode in the app and/or denying access to the camera in the iOS settings.
Contact the Developer
Using the app’s help function, you can send an email to the developer from within the app.
The developer uses this data exclusively for the fulfillment and processing of your request or for the transmission of information directly related to it.
In particular, your personal data will not be shared with third parties.
Depending on your email settings, the transmission of the email may be unencrypted.
Contact requests via the Facebook platform are subject to the Facebook Inc. Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
For contact requests via the „HomeMatic-Forum“, the conditions and privacy policy of the forum operator apply.

These data will not be combined with data from other sources.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The developer has a justified interest in the evaluation in order to optimize his app. The developer receives information about the frequency of use and distribution of the app.
